Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge of crane-truck operations, lifting equipment, load calculations, safe working loads, hand signals and applicable lifting safety procedures.
• Minimum of 5 years' proven experience as a Rigger, preferably supporting crane-truck, mobile-crane or similar lifting operations.
• Demonstrated experience selecting lifting gear, slinging and balancing loads, guiding crane movements, securing loads and working safely around suspended loads.
• Experience working in construction, heavy engineering, waste management, mining, logistics or another operational environment will be an added advantage.
• Must be medically fit for rigging duties, comfortable working outdoors and at height where required, and able to work flexible hours according to operational needs. A valid driver's licence and current first-aid training will be added advantages.
• Strong knowledge of rigging methods, lifting accessories, load control, hazard identification and safe lifting practices.
• Ability to interpret lifting plans, estimate load characteristics, inspect rigging equipment and communicate using recognised hand signals and radios.
• Ability to work closely with the Crane Operator and ground crew, follow instructions, remain alert under pressure and stop work when conditions are unsafe.

Requirements

• Education and Certification - A valid Rigger Certificate issued by a recognised training or certification authority is required. - Knowledge of crane-truck operations, lifting equipment, load calculations, safe working loads, hand signals and applicable lifting safety procedures.
